Judge orders psych evaluation for man guilty of killing Naperville roommate

Judge Brian Telander on Friday ordered that Grant Muren, 24, receive a psychological evaluation, which will determine whether there are extenuating circumstances that might affect the sentence.
In September, Telander ruled in a bench trial that Muren was guilty of second-degree murder in the strangulation death of 55-year-old Charles Clark in January 2014.
Telander also found Muren guilty of aggravated and residential arson for setting three small fires in Clark's Naperville townhouse after the murder. But he found Muren not guilty of robbery and concealment of a homicide.
Muren could face a total of six to 30 years in prison.
