Brazilian anti-doping agency facing possible WADA suspension

MONTREAL (AP) - The national anti-doping agencies of Azerbaijan, Brazil, Greece, Guatemala and Indonesia risk being suspended next month unless they fall into compliance with global standards.

The World Anti-Doping Agency says a review panel found the five countries are currently non-compliant with the global anti-doping code.

WADA says the reasons include non-compliance with legislation or rules, use of laboratories not accredited by WADA, and "issues with their anti-doping program."

WADA says if the problems are not resolved before Nov. 10, the committee will recommend the agencies be formally declared non-compliant at a board meeting in Glasgow, Scotland, on Nov. 19.
