STEM Expo for elementary, middle school students

The second annual STEM Expo presented by the Student Excellence Foundation of Wheaton-Warrenville Unit District 200 will feature hands-on experiments that demonstrate science, technology, engineering and math concepts.

The expo will be 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, at Hubble Middle School, 3S600 Herrick Road, Warrenville. Interested families are encouraged to reserve tickets quickly, as last year's expo sold out.

Designed for elementary and middle school students, the STEM Expo includes opportunities for students to interact with representatives of more than 20 businesses, organizations and groups, including Adler Planetarium "Scopes in the City," Argonne National Labs educational programs, Beckatt Solutions, DuPage Children's Museum, Fermilab Education Office, Forest Preserve District of DuPage County, Front Street Dance Center, Hawthorne Ecology Club, Lincoln Marsh Natural Area, Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art, Longfellow Coding and STEM Club of Longfellow Elementary School, Tony Majszak, NIU STEM Outreach, PAWNAGE VEX Robotics, PAWNAGE Robotics - FRC Team 2451, SCARCE, SciTech Hands-on Museum, Two Beekeepers, Weber Orthodontics, Wheaton Chemistry Society, Society of Physics Students, Wheaton Public Library, and Wheaton Sanitary District.

Students must be accompanied by an adult.

Admission is free, but a $5 donation is suggested. Tickets can be reserved through studentexcellencefoundation.org/events.
