St. Charles church offers 'Choral Evensong for Saints and Sinners'

Celebrating All Saints' Day on Sunday, Nov. 6, music director Mark Downey will lead the talented St. Charles Episcopal Chorus and String Trio in "Evensong." It is an opportunity to gather in prayer while listening and participating in music that is especially selected to bring you into deeper understanding of the mysteries of faith.

The community is invited to the music service at 4 p.m. at St. Charles Episcopal Church, 994 N. Fifth Ave. (Route 25) in St. Charles. A freewill offering will benefit the St. Charles Music Ministry.

All are invited to join in celebrating saints and sinners alike.

Organ voluntaries begin at 3:45 p.m., featuring the organ Chorale in A minor by Caesar Franc. Other selections include the Epistle String Trios by Mozart and choral music by Handel and Carl Shaulk.

The St. Charles Music Series seeks to bring superior music to the community, raising awareness for the rich treasures of sacred music and the arts in the community.

The building is wheelchair-accessible. For information, call (630) 584-2596, or visit www.stcharlesepiscopal.org.
