Girls volleyball: Geneva outlasts West Aurora

Grace Loberg had 13 kills and 9 digs and Ally Barrett added 11 kills and 14 digs Tuesday to lead the Geneva girls volleyball team to a 25-18, 20-25, 25-13 Upstate Eight crossover win over West Aurora.

Mikayla Lansa dished out 32 assists for the Vikings (27-1).

Gillian Jones (7 kills, 2 aces, 3 digs), Christina Stinson (6 kills) and Ali Greenwood (8 digs) led West Aurora (18-16-1).

St. Edward d. Ridgewood: Dominique Washington had 11 kills and 9 digs to lead the Green Wave to a Metro Suburban win. Haley Biggins (7 digs), Erin Aldana (7 assists, 7 digs) and Emily Stapay (11 assists) also contributed for St. Edward (18-16, 9-3).

South Elgin d. Streamwood: Taylor Hankins (5 kills), Libby Vedrine (4 kills) and Casie Swanson (8 assists) led South Elgin (17-14-2) to a 25-10, 25-16 UEC crossover win.

Harvest Christian d. Alden-Hebron: Kaitlyn Murray served 10 straight points, had 18 assists and 3 digs as the Lions (24-9) won in the Northeastern Athletic Conference. Mikayla Robinson added 9 kills and 4 blocks to the win while Madison Pfister had 2 kills and 6 blocks.

Batavia d. Glenbard South: Micaela Hix had a career-high 12 kills, Sam Juarez a career-high 15 kills along with 11 digs and Maddy Boyer a career-high 15 digs in addition to 7 kills as Batavia won this nonconference match 21-25, 25-18, 25-23. The Bulldogs (18-16) had a season-high 42 kills in the match, which ranks fourth all-time in school history. Jenna Garrett added a season-high 35 assists and 7 digs while Lia LoGiudice was a career-high 15 for 15 passing.
