3 voters given do-over after ballot error in West Lafayette

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) - The clerk's office in Tippecanoe County says it has given three voters the chance to vote again after they were given incorrect ballots.

Clerk Christa Coffey tells the (Lafayette) Journal and Courier (http://on.jconline.com/2e4SGEA ) three people contacted her office after they voted last Wednesday, the first day of early voting. Coffey says the three were given ballots that listed Indiana House District 27 instead of Indiana House District 26, where the voters live.

Coffey says an election board investigation found a poll worker manually assembled the ballots when an internet connection went down.

Coffey encouraged voters to raise any questions before they finish their ballots. She says early voting this year is running ahead of the 2008 presidential election.
