Round Lake Park man accused of residential burglaries
A Round Lake Park man has been charged for his role in three residential burglaries, authorities said Wednesday.
Alfonso Palma, 18, of the 400 block of Fairlawn Drive, was arrested by Round Lake police Tuesday for criminal trespass, authorities said. He was detained by police on a warrant out of Round Lake Park, where officials were investigating his link to several recent burglaries.
Palma is accused of residential burglaries Sept. 27 on Colony Drive, and burglaries in the 200 block of Willow Drive and the 200 block of Pineview Drive, authorities said.
He faces three counts of residential burglary. He could be sentenced up to 15 years in prison if found guilty at trial.
The burglaries remain under investigation, authorities said, and additional charges may be filed.
Palma is ordered held in Lake County jail on bail of $250,000.
