Make bathroom upkeep easy for the future

Our tiny master bathroom is 23 years old. My husband and I still love it. The only problem is the surfaces never look 100-percent clean and shiny when we clean the bathroom.

We are senior citizens with not many years left. It would be a blessing to live the rest of our lives with a new shower wall surround and acrylic bath liner. We will be celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary in December. It would be so much fun to celebrate with a new bathroom and shower.

Budget: $4,000

The current bathroom shows older tile and an older bathtub. Mary's concern is the lackluster shine and difficulty of cleaning those surfaces. The abundance of existing grout is also difficult to clean and needs to be replaced every few years. creating a lot of maintenance.

Suggestions:

• Bath Planet would install an acrylic bathtub liner with an acrylic wall surround.

• We would also recommend replacing the older plumbing valve and faucet fixtures with new ones.

• Add a corner, multi-shelf unit with plenty of storage for soap, shampoo, etc.

These changes would really update their bathroom, as well as be nearly maintenace-free.
