Retirement Expert Presents 'Health Care in Retirement' on November 10th at Oakbrook Terrace Park District

Trying to make heads or tails of health care, with its seemingly endless changes and complexity, is enough to make just about anyone queasy.

Against that backdrop, a retirement planning expert who speaks with clarity and authority is the perfect antidote. On Thursday, November 10th, Jim Flanagan of Bentron Financial Group leads an in-depth discussion on Health Care in Retirement at the Oakbrook Terrace Park District's Heritage Center, 1S325 Ardmore Ave. in Villa Park.

In his one-hour presentation, which begins at 6:30 p.m., Flanagan will provide detail of the four parts of Medicare: Parts A (Hospital Insurance), Part B (Medical Insurance), Part C (Medicare Advantage), and Part D (Prescription Drugs).

Registration deadline is November 3rd. To register for this free program, please call 630-627-6100. Individuals can also register by going to www.obtpd.org.

Flanagan will also share his knowledge of Medicare Supplements and the different plans that are available. In addition, students will receive an overview of long-term care insurance and the four strategies used to protect yourself from the high costs of long-term care.

The founder of Naperville-based Bentron Financial Group, Flanagan has been advising people at or near retirement age for more than 20 years. For the past 15 years his specialties have included counsel on how and when to tap into Social Security benefits.

Bentron Financial Group is online at www.bentron.com, and can be reached at 630-505-8375.

In 2005, Flanagan joined the Oak Park/River Forest Township Senior Services Committee, for which he has served as chairman since 2008. In 2010, he founded the Celebrating Seniors Coalition, a not-for-profit organization that, among other services, helps seniors with emergency needs and raises public awareness of issues affecting seniors in Oak Park, River Forest and Forest Park.
