COD to Host Dr. Damon Williams Presentation Oct. 24

College of DuPage will host a talk by Dr. Damon Williams, author of "Strategic Diversity Leadership: Activation Change and Transformation in Higher Education," from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 24, in the Student Resource Center, Room 2000, on the College's Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.

This event, part of the College's Diversity and Inclusion Celebration and Awareness Series, is free and open to the public.

Williams is a National Program Strategist for the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, with a focus on strengthening the club's experience at more than 4,000 locations serving over four million people annually. He is a former vice provost, chief diversity officer and faculty member of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and co-author of the book "The Chief Diversity Officer."

His book "Strategic Diversity Leadership" focuses on recognizing and respecting the values of individuals and constituencies through cultural awareness, social understanding and unity. The presentation will close with a meet and greet and book signing reception.
