McFun for Westview and Oakbrook McTeachers

On Wednesday, October 12th, Westview and Oakbrook Elementary PTO held a McTeacher's Night fundraiser at the McDonald's in Itastca. The Westview/Oakbrook McTeacher's Night was a fun way to bring the teachers from both elementary schools together and have the opportunity to meet the parents of students and members of the community while raising funds for the schools. And what a great community the Westview and Oakbrook Elementary Schools are, as the restaurant was full of families supporting the schools as well as waiting to see their teachers and a visit from Ronald McDonald.

Teachers had so much fun at this community event where they were able to interact with families and students. The McTeacher jobs included, greeting guests, cleaning the lobby, working the front counter, serving drinks, clearing tables, serving ice cream and selling Pies. Principals Shermak and Buttimer greeted guests to the exciting event.

Westview and Oakbrook McTeachers had it all covered, and the families enjoyed a great evening. Lots of students, teachers, families and friends came out in their support. All the kids came to see their teachers work at the McDonald's in Itasca Special thank-you goes to Westview PTO member, Anne Brock, who organized the entire event.

The McTeacher's Night was courtesy of the Itasca McDonald's owner/operator, The Nelson Family. For more information about events provided by the Itasca McDonald's, contact Community Relations Director, Julie.Travers@comcast.net.
