Girls swimming: Hersey, Barrington finish perfect division runs

The girls swimming and diving teams from Barrington and Hersey wrapped up unbeaten dual-meet performances against their Mid-Suburban League divisional foes Thursday.

In the final MSL dual under veteran coach Jim Bart, the Fillies topped visiting Palatine 141-44 and claimed the top performer in each race.

Hersey was a 136-50 victor at Buffalo Grove in an effort which included a sweep of the relays and 1-2-3 Huskies finishes in the 200 IM, diving, 100 fly and 100 fly.

Rolling Meadows d. Wheeling: Jenna Pors and Teresa Perille won two events apiece to help the visiting Mustangs post a 136-38 victory.

Pors was tops in the 200 free and 100 fly, while Perille won the 100 back and 100 free. Other Meadows individual winners were Abby Wiltse (200 IM), Emily Walters (50 free), Grace Nykol (500 free) and Betsy Zanocco (100 breast).

Wheeling had a winner in diving with Anna Emery (194.95)

Conant d. Hoffman Estates: The Cougars won on the second day of consecutive dual meets, claiming a 117-44 win against the host Hawks.

Conant had three individuals win twice - Sarah Erne (200 free, 500 free), Aly Wooley (50 free, 100 free) and Esther Song (200 IM, 100 breast).

Hoffman Estates' Renata Widelak won the 100 fly and also had a leg on the Hawks' winning 400 free relay with Benita Varanauskaite, Casey Rawlings and Maggie Rommel.

Prospect d. Elk Grove: The visiting Knights finished with a 4-1 record in the MSL East following their 145-41 win over the Grens.

Among the top winning performers for Prospect were Meghan Schmit in diving (230.10), Gracie Dix in the 50 free (26.14) and Mary Dembowski in the 500 free (6:00.73).
