Schaumburg library hosts 'Maker Day' Oct. 15

All ages can build, create and explore during "Maker Day" from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at the Schaumburg Township District Library, 130 S. Roselle Road in Schaumburg.

This free event will be held throughout the library and include hands-on stations, interactive programs and demonstrations.

No registration is necessary, and participants are welcome to drop in anytime during "Maker Day" hours.

"Maker Day is a hands-on opportunity for all ages to celebrate the DIY spirit," said Program and Outreach Coordinator Kate Niehoff. "Complete with robots, arts and crafts, and opportunities to create circuit boards and watch a home brewing demonstration, Maker Day will appeal to techies and non-techies alike."
