Administer Justice Hosts Celebration Dinner on Oct. 27

Administer Justice, a nonprofit legal aid, is hosting its free annual celebration dinner on Thursday, October 27 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at The Stonegate Conference & Banquet Centre in Hoffman Estates. The keynote speaker is Jeanne Bishop, Assistant Public Defender and author of "Change of Heart: Justice, Mercy and Making Peace with My Sister's Killer."

The book chronicles the author's journey to finding hope and reconciliation after the 1990 Winnetka murder of her family members. Musical guest Sharon Irving, singer, songwriter and America's Got Talent 2015 semifinalist will perform at the event.

Administer Justice is a 501(c)(3) providing free civil legal assistance, financial counseling and other services to empower low income individuals and families. The organization also runs a Low Income Taxpayer Clinic assisting those facing a controversy with the IRS. Last year, the organization assisted over 2,500 area residents in need with the help of 252 volunteers, including over 100 volunteer attorneys. The organization is committed to providing justice to the area's most vulnerable including single parents, the elderly, and victims of fraud and identity theft.
