Registration open for 2016 D211 Fun(d) Run/Walk

Students, staff, parents and community members can start preparing for a race that will support District 211 programs and schools.

The District 211 Foundation will host the 2016 D211 Fun(d) 5K Run/Walk Race. The race will take place at 8 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 16, in Palatine. Registration is open and race day registration is $30 for adults and $15 for students 18 years and younger.

All proceeds will benefit the Township High School District 211 Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization, which provides resources to enhance and enrich learning opportunities for students, staff and the school community.

The District 211 Foundation also provides funds for its primary program, Innovation Grants. Proceeds from the race will support these grants, which go toward unique projects that are not funded by the district's budget.

Race-day registration is available on-site beginning at 6:30 a.m.
