Students, industry connect at Elk Grove manufacturing expo

Students from around Northwest suburbs mixed with leaders in the manufacturing industry Monday at the 2016 Made in Elk Grove Manufacturing & Technology Expo at Elk Grove High School.

The expo allowed students and manufacturers to connect with exhibitors from various industries, including precision machining, plastics, electronics and industrial services. Three fortunate students were awarded $500 scholarships from the Golden Corridor Advanced Manufacturing Partnership.

Elk Grove is home to the largest industrial park in the country with more than 62 million square feet of inventory, according to organizers.
