Indian Bar supports 4 appeals court judges facing votes

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - The Indiana State Bar Association says a survey of its membership shows it supports the Indiana Court of Appeals judges who are up for retention votes in the November election.

The bar says nearly 1,500 of the more than 10,000 members who were polled supported retaining Judges Terry A. Crone, James S. Kirsch, Edward W. Najam Jr. and Patricia A. Riley. All received at least 82 percent support from the bar members responding to the survey.

The bar says Kirsch won 88 percent support; Najam, 87 percent; Crone, 85 percent; and Riley, 82 percent.

The bar says its membership was surveyed four times from Sept. 13 through Sept. 29.
