Newborns at Good Sam are born to fly the 'W'

DOWNERS GROVE - Newborns in the mother-baby unit of Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital are already cheering on their hometown Cubbies as Major League Baseball's best regular season team kicks off its playoff run. Each future bleacher bum born at Good Samaritan Hospital during the postseason run will receive a Cubs branded onesie, courtesy of Advocate Health Care, a proud legacy sponsor of the Chicago Cubs.

More than 1,800 babies are expected to be delivered at Good Samaritan Hospital in 2016; the hospital offers Level III perinatal services to care for high-risk mothers and newborns.

The Lafferty family of Bolingbrook welcomed their second child, Sean, to the world at Good Samaritan Hospital on Oct. 4.

"This is Sean Lafferty, the newest little Cubs fan at Good Sam in Downers Grove," said mom Hillary Lafferty. "Go, Cubs, Go!"

Also cheering on the Cubs was Kayla Vicelli, of Lombard, one of the newest Cubs fans born at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove. She was born Oct. 7, the first day of the National League division series.
