Juvenile justice discussion set

Cook County Circuit Court Judge Colleen F. Sheehan will discuss the state of juvenile justice in Illinois at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16, at the Stevenson Center on Democracy, 25200 N. St. Mary's Road, Mettawa. Sheehan will discuss current reforms and innovations, such as the historic Cook County Restorative Justice Community Court. She will also discuss issues involving police and community conflict, how to repair harm caused by crime and reduce costs associated with incarceration, and contribute to neighborhood safety.
