Enjoy Autumn Harvest Festival in Arlington Heights

Autumn Harvest will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, in North School Park, Arlington Heights Road and Eastman Street in Arlington Heights.

You will have a chance to build a scarecrow (the village supplies all the materials) with your family or group of friends, take a hayride, enjoy kids'' crafts and live entertainment, take a lunch break in the park or visit the animals at the petting zoo.

There will be live music from local school bands, a performance by Vibe dance group from the Arlington Heights Park District and a magic show.

Scarecrow building will begin at 11 a.m. and will be judged around 2 p.m.

This event is sponsored by the village's Special Events Commission in cooperation with the park district.
