W. Dundee Healing Field a 9/11 success

I want to thank everyone who visited the True Patriots Care 9/11 Memorial Healing Field in West Dundee.

It was a wonderful week. We had the honor to meet many new friends and we were able to share the Healing Field with over 170 fifth graders from area schools who came as a field trip to learn what Patriot Day and 9/11 are all about.

We could not have been able to display 2,976 American flags without the help of dozens and dozens of volunteers. They arrived early Sept 6 and worked all day installing the flags then returned the next day and attached the names to each flags in alphabetical order along with a ribbon on each.

Special thank you to the Village of West Dundee, West Dundee Fire Department, Rutland Fire Department and a big thank you to the Dundee Township Park District for allowing us to use their beautiful park and the help of their staff.

And thanks to all of you who attend and walked through our Healing Field. I hope you all enjoyed the tribute, and please, always remember: Never forget 9/11/01.
