Is it too high, too low, or just right? Would you propose any changes?I believe County Board Member's pay is commensurate with their responsibilities and time expended.I would not propose any changes.Do you think county board members should receive pensions? If not, would you be willing to pledge not to take one?Pensions for members are fair and equitable if proportional to their pay, responsibility and time devoted to their duties.With DuPage County's budget being squeezed by state funding cuts and other factors, what initiatives would you support to increase revenue and/or save money?I would continue the requirement of all departments to utilize lean training and use technology to increase efficiency.What are your thoughts about the county's Accountability, Consolidation and Transparency Initiative? What role should DuPage play in efforts to streamline and consolidate local government?I agree with the ACT initiative and have witnessed positive results in my time on the County Board.Du Page County has lead in efforts to be accountable and transparent, through a new Ethics Ordinance, as well as the use of shared services to save taxpayer dollars.What initiatives, if any, do you have in mind for your specific county board district?To continue to work with O'Hare Airport to reduce noise pollution in the District.To work with local businesses and municipalities to encourage economic growth.To ensure a continuous improvement in stormwater management.What other issues, if any, are important to you as a candidate for this office?Transparency in government and ethically serving the people of Du Page County.
