If so, what?I have always been motivated by conservation and preservation of our community green space. I am proud to set policy and manage taxpayer's money to preserve and expand our DuPage County 26,000 acres if open green space.If you are an incumbent, what have been your main contributions and what important initiatives have you led? If you are a challenger, what would you bring to the board and what would your priorities be?Developing and implementing our Strategic Plan for our preserves has been once of my greatest achievements on the Board.Also, implementing effective accounting procedures, hiring an effective Executive Director and saving taxpayers money are key achievements.What role should the forest preserve district play in preserving historic buildings on its land?Our board has drafted and implemented an Historic and Cultural policy to preserve our DuPage history. Part of the policy implementation deals with preserving, restoring and give adaptive reuse to important historic buildings such as the McKee House.Should the district preserve the McKee House in Churchill Woods Forest Preserve? Or should the building be demolished?I believe the McKee House is an important and beautiful landmark in DuPage County. It should be restored and given an adaptive reuse. I am committed to moving my Board in that direction for District 4 and DuPage County taxpayers. Have you ever been appointed to fill an unexpired term?I was successful and honored to be elected as the District 4 Forest Preserve Commissioner in 2012.Prior to that office I was elected as a Trustee on the Regional School Board on three occasions.I ran for an was elected as Republican Precinct Committeeman in Milton 79 until I chose not to run once elected to the Forest Preserve Board.What other issues, if any, are important to you as a candidate for this office?Continuing to acquire green space in my District an DuPage County is always high on my agenda.East Branch Trail growth and expansion.Preserving taxpayers money is an overriding concern.
