Four trustee positions open at Schaumburg Library

Candidates for the Schaumburg Township District Library (board of trustees may begin filing petitions for the April 4, 2017, consolidated election.

Four seats will need to be filled for this 4-year, unpaid position. Information packets for candidates are available at www.SchaumburgLibrary.org or from the Business Office on the second floor of the library, 130 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg.

Petitions must be filed in person, according to the filing instructions, from Dec. 12-19 by candidates seeking election. Electronic submissions will not be accepted.

Members of the STDL board of trustees are entrusted with overseeing library funds, approving an annual budget, creating policies, advocating for the library and more.

Trustees meet monthly at one of the three library locations in Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates and Hanover Park.
