Students on Parade!

Wheaton Montessori will celebrate its annual Halloween Parade on Monday, October 31, 2016. Students will arrive at school in costume. Teachers and staff - also in costume - will lead the children in gather for a festive parade through the school's outdoor play areas. Parents, grandparents, caregivers, and the community are all invited to join in the fun.

Traditions such as these are a way that Wheaton Montessori can bring the school community together in an atmosphere of fun and celebration. Other such events include the school's annual Auction Night, an end-of-year gala for parents, CommuniTEA events - teacher-led discussions at Cafe K'Tizo each month, and monthly Parent Discovery Nights at the school.

The school thanks Wheaton Bowl, on the corner of Geneva Road and Gary Avenue, for allowing overflow parking in their lots. Rebecca Lingo, head of school, stated "we would not be able to pull off these whole-school, family celebrations without the help and generosity of some great neighbors. Every year, we know we can count on these businesses to accommodate some of our parking for these events."

Wheaton Montessori School is an independent, not-for-profit school certified by Association Montessori International and recognized by The Illinois Board of Education. The school offers programs for children from three years of age through ninth grade. Wheaton Montessori practices Dr. Maria Montessori's philosophy in its entirety and in its original version.
