FIFA hires former UEFA, ISL executive to commercial team

ZURICH (AP) - FIFA says it has hired Philippe Le Floc'h, a former marketing executive with UEFA and the ISL agency, as its chief commercial officer.

FIFA says the French-Swiss dual national will head the marketing and TV divisions and join its management board.

The new role was created when FIFA was restructured after being implicated in corruption scandals.

Le Floc'h was UEFA marketing director until 2010, when the European soccer body's general secretary was current FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

Before UEFA, Le Floc'h worked at the ISL agency when it was FIFA's World Cup marketing partner.

He also worked for the Creative Artists Agency before taking his current job at Dubai-based Customised Solution FZ.

FIFA says Le Floc'h has experience with "several marketing agencies, where he developed strategies and then delivered them."
