Pence to appear at Fort Wayne GOP rally with Young, Holcomb

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) - Mike Pence is returning to Indiana to stump for GOP Senate candidate Todd Young and gubernatorial candidate Eric Holcomb.

The three are scheduled to appear together at a noon rally Friday at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne.

Young is locked into a tight battle with Democrat Evan Bayh in a race that could determine which party controls the Senate next year.

Holcomb, who's now lieutenant governor, faces Democrat John Gregg in the governor's race.

It will be Pence's third public presidential campaign event in Indiana since being named Donald Trump's running mate in July. He appeared at a rally in Zionsville the day after Trump chose him, and he opened a Trump campaign headquarters late last month in Carmel.
