Hanover Township Foundation to host golf outing

The Hanover Township Foundation will host its third annual golf outing fundraiser at Bartlett Hills Golf Course, 800 W. Oneida, in Bartlett, on Sunday, Oct. 2. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Hanover Township Food Pantry.

Registration begins at noon, with a 1 p.m. tee time. There will be a dinner only option that will begin at 4 p.m. Tickets are available for $75 for golf and dinner; dinner only for $40. Dinner will include bratwursts, hot dogs, German potato salad and a two-hour open bar (beer and wine only).

This nine-hole scramble is limited to 72 players, or 18 foursomes. For the novice golfer, the mercy rule is incorporated; no more than two over par on any hole.

Sponsorship opportunities are available at the following levels: Eagle Sponsor: $1,000, with recognition at the event, hole sponsorship, and complimentary foursome (golf and dinner); Birdie Sponsor: $500, with recognition at the event, hole sponsorship, four complimentary dinner tickets; Par Sponsor: $250, with recognition at the event and hole sponsorship; Beverage Cart Sponsor: $200, with recognition at the event, signage on beverage cart on golf grounds; and Hole Sponsor: $100.

The foundation raises funds to provide additional monetary support for the residents of Hanover Township. Through the generosity of residents, businesses and community organizations, the foundation assists the township in operating a food pantry that experiences, on average, 728 visits monthly.

In addition, the foundation helps support programs, equipment purchases for township departments, and provides direct aid for qualifying residents.
