Sounders win at Galaxy for 1st time since 2009

CARSON, Calif. (AP) - Jordan Morris scored his 11th and 12th goals of his rookie season and the Seattle Sounders beat the Los Angeles Galaxy 4-2 on Sunday to snap an 11-game road winless streak in the series.

Seattle (11-13-5) remained in seventh place, three points behind rival Portland for the final playoff spot. Los Angeles (11-5-15) lost its first home game of the season and its first against the Sounders since 2009.

He moved into second place in MLS history for rooking scoring.

Robbie Keane opened the scoring in the 20th minute for Los Angeles when he headed home Sebastian Lletget's chipped cross and Keane scored on a penalty kick in the 85th. Landon Donovan entered as a sub in the 67th.

Seattle tied it in the 35th on Jelle Van Damme's own goal. Chad Marshall elevated to head Andreas Ivanschitz's corner kick and it deflected off Van Damme's head. Osvaldo Alonso hammered a shot from distance in the 78th for a 4-1 lead.
