District 54 to hold Dual Language and Immersion Parent Night September 27

School District 54

District 54 will hold a Dual Language and Immersion Parent Night on Tuesday, September 27, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the District 54 Professional Learning Center, 524 E. Schaumburg Road, Schaumburg. Parents/guardians will be able to select sessions that meet their needs, whether their child has just started kindergarten or is in eighth grade. Some sessions will be offered in English, others in Spanish or Japanese, and some as bilingual sessions.

Topics include:

• Supporting homework in the target language

• Benefitting from your dual language investment into high school and college

• Chinese and Japanese literacy development

• Supporting your child in your native language

• Junior High Dual Language Programs: How schools are using Chromebooks to promote target language and literacy
