D26 Board Vacancy

Mrs. Donna Johnson, President of the Board of Education, River Trails School District 26, has announced that applications for the Board vacancy created by the September 12th resignation of Board Member Mrs. Kathleen Beck may be obtained at the District's administrative offices, 1900 East Kensington Road, Mount Prospect and the district website www.rtsd26.org. The vacancy must be filled within 45 days from Mrs. Beck's resignation.

In order to be a candidate for the Board vacancy a person must show proof that s/he is a citizen of the United States, lives in Illinois and in District 26 for more than a year, is a registered voter, at least eighteen years of age, and shall not be a child sex offender as defined in Section 11-9.3 of the Criminal Code of 2012. Applications will be accepted until Tuesday, October 11, at 4:00 P.M. The Board will review applications. The successful candidate will be appointed at the October 18, 2016 Board of Education meeting. The chosen applicant will only serve the rest Mrs. Beck's term which ends April 2017.
