Feds allege Greenwood man bilked $2.7M from employer

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Federal prosecutors have charged a suburban Indianapolis man with mail fraud and making a false tax return for alleging bilking more than $2.7 million for a construction company where he worked as a project manager.

Prosecutors say 52-year-old Troy L. Sissom of Greenwood could face up to 20 years in prison if convicted, in addition to restitution and unpaid tax liability.

They say that while working for F.A. Wilhelm Construction Co., he created a company and generated false invoices for construction materials that he submitted to Wilhelm for payment. They say the fraud lasted from 2003 to 2015.

Sissom does not have a published telephone number and he could not be reached for comment.
