Businessman donates $25K for slaying victims' funeral costs

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) - A Fort Wayne-based businessman has donated $25,000 to cover the funeral costs for three people found slain last week in the northeastern Indiana city.

Bill Bean says he was touched by the public plea two men made for help with the funeral costs for their children and an unborn grandchild.

Bean tells The Journal Gazette (http://bit.ly/2cx2a7X ) he "could imagine what they were going through." He's vice president of real estate development firm Hanning & Bean Enterprises.

Bean's donation will help cover the funeral costs of 18-year-old Traeven Harris, 37-year-old Consuela Arrington, 18-year-old Dajahiona Arrington and her unborn son. She was 8ˆ½ months pregnant at the time of her killing.

Prosecutors say a 20-year-old man charged in the killings ended his relationship with Arrington after learning she wasn't carrying his child.
