Service projects at Woodland Primary
Woodland Elementary District 50 will host a Green Apple Day of Service at Woodland Primary School, 17366 W. Gages Lake Road, Gages Lake on Saturday, Sept. 24, from 9 a.m. to noon. The initiative from the Center for Green Schools at the U.S. Green Building Council, encourages advocates to do community service projects at local schools. The day will feature a variety of indoor and outdoor projects for children and adults, such as painting murals in the school, painting interactive stencils for the blacktop and playground and cleaning up the butterfly garden and walking trail.
