Rockford to mourn 4 homicide victims with funeral, vigil
ROCKFORD, Ill. (AP) - Rockford residents are planning to remember four homicide victims with a candlelight vigil.
The Rockford Register-Star reports (http://bit.ly/2cLaNys ) organizers will have a public visitation Sunday, and funeral and vigil Monday for 27-year-old Keandra-Kiana Austin and her three children.
The family was found dead in their home Sept. 17 after an intense fire.
Rockford police say they are homicide victims. They have not released causes of death, but say the fire was deliberately set.
Found dead with their mother were 9-year-old V'Angelo Totty, 6-year-old Keeryn Austin and six-month-old Allya Beasley Austin.
Timothy Honquest is owner of Honquest Funeral Home. He says family members are grateful for the community support.
The candlelight vigil will be held Monday evening at the site of the family's home.
