Grayslake d. Woodstock North: Coach Jim Sarver called it "tremendous hitting" by Abby Fish (12 kills) and "outstanding setting" by Erin McBriarty (20 assists), as the Knights rallied to win the nonconference match 21-25, 25-20, 25-17.

"Game 1 was a great battle," Carmel coach David Pazely said. "Tight all the way to the end. Game 2 we got caught in a couple rotations and it cost us. We battled back but too big of a task against such a good Marist team. I'm proud of the way the girls fought tonight. We may not have won the match, but we improved as a team and can build some confidence with a performance like this."
