CLC Literary Arts Society to hold poetry slams, publishing day and 'lit pit' event

The College of Lake County Literary Arts Society will host three literary events at the Grayslake Campus this fall, and interested community members are invited to attend.

A Poetry Slam will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sept. 28. At the event, aspiring poets may present original poems, with the chance to win gift card prizes.

Everyone is invited to listen, react and engage with literary enthusiasts. Refreshments will be available.

Publishing Day will be held from 2-4 p.m. Oct. 5 in Room T241. Learn about the publishing process from CLC's published faculty and Literary Arts Society advisor Bridget Bell.

The Literary Arts Society's Lit Pit will take place from 2-4 p.m. Oct. 26 in the new Student Commons. Students and community members will compete on a variety of reading, literary and popular culture games and activities. Refreshments will be available.
