Autumn Ski Jump returns to Norge this weekend

Ski jumpers from around the world will compete on the 70-meter hill at the 31st annual Norge Autumn Ski Jump on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 24-25, at Norge Ski Club in Fox River Grove.

Gates open at 11 a.m. The Junior Tournament Small Hills will begin at noon Saturday, followed by the K70 Big Hill Tournament. The K70 Big Hill continues from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. Come out and see 2010 Olympic Gold Medalist Billy Demong!

There will be brats, hot dogs, pizza, popcorn, pop, beer, wine and Jägermeister. There will be a live band, Goin' South, on Saturday only.

Entrance buttons for $10 are required and good for both days. The buttons can be purchased by Sept. 23 at local merchants. It is $11 for entrance buttons purchased online, or $15 at the gate. Admission is free for children, age 12 and younger. Parking is free.

Bring blankets and lawn chairs; no carry-ins or dogs allowed.
