Autopsies planned on 4 found in Rockford home after fire

ROCKFORD, Ill. (AP) - Autopsies are planned in the deaths of four people, including three children, whose bodies were found in a northern Illinois home destroyed by a weekend fire.

The Rockford Register Star (http://bit.ly/2cAkEnD) reports the Winnebago County Coroner's Office will complete the autopsies Monday to determine whether the fire or something else caused the deaths.

The coroner's office says the victims included a 27-year-old, a 9-year-old, a 6-year-old and a 6-month-old infant.

The newspaper says firefighters responded to the blaze in a single-family home around 5 a.m. on Saturday. Fire department officials say the house was already engulfed in flames by the time they arrived.
