Four seats open in Schaumburg library election

Candidates for the Schaumburg Township District Library board of trustees may begin filing petitions Tuesday, Sept. 20, for the April 4, 2017 election.

Four four-year terms are up in the spring election. The terms of current trustees Gerald Bromley, Anita Forte-Scott, Robert Frankel and Ruth Jonen are expiring.

Forte-Scott has confirmed she will run again, while Frankel said he will retire after 40 years of service and Jonen said she will too after 30 years. Bromley could not be reached for comment.

Information packets for candidates are available at schaumburglibrary.org or from the business office on the second floor of the library, 130 S. Roselle Road in Schaumburg.

Petitions must be filed in person from Dec. 12 to 19 by candidates seeking election.
