Freedom of speech under attack

Rasmussen Reports just released new poll results that should be a serious wake-up call for all Americans. Those polls show that "two thirds of Americans believe that political correctness is a threat and they don't have freedom of speech anymore,"

This is a big deal as a previous Rasmussen poll showed that 94 percent of Americans view freedom of speech as "important" and 84 percent view freedom of speech as "very important."

Freedom of speech is at the very core of democracy and without it, democracy dies and dictatorship rules. Anyone paying attention to the daily news sees how political correctness is attacking our core American values and traditions, and anybody who defends those traditional American values is put in Hillary's "basket of deplorables" and labeled as an "irredeemable racist, bigot, sexist, xenophobe, homophobe, and Islamaphobe."

No wonder Trump is doing so well despite his shortfalls, Americans are getting sick of political correctness and its attacks on freedom of speech and traditional American values, and they see Trump as an antidote.

I would like to offer another solution to this attack on our freedom of speech by political correctness. Defend your values and tell the politically correct crowd to "go pound sand."

Political correctness only works if the people allow it to muzzle them because of fear of alienating their "Facebook Tribe." I would suggest that anybody that attacks you for supporting traditional American values should be kicked out of your "Facebook Tribe" and "unfriended."

Political correctness can only take away your freedom of speech if you let it. As Thomas Jefferson said, "One man with courage is a majority."
