Wauconda Township open house on Sept. 21

In recognition of the first Illinois Township Day, Wauconda Township will host an open house from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, at the township offices, 505 W. Bonner Road, Wauconda. Visitors can meet elected township officials and staff, tour the facilities and learn about programs, services and resources. By law, Illinois townships have three basic functions: assistance for the indigent; property assessment; and, road and bridge maintenance outside of federal, state and local jurisdiction.
