Girls volleyball: Huntley dumps McHenry

Alyson Dion had 7 kills, 12 digs and served 4 aces Tuesday night to lead the Huntley girls volleyball team to a 25-15, 25-21 Fox Valley Conference win over McHenry.

Sarah Zayas added 9 digs, Aleah Amello had 8 digs and 5 kills and Taylor Jakubowski added 18 assists and 10 digs for the Red Raiders (8-3, 5-1).

CL Central d. Dundee-Crown: Jenna Thelen had 5 kills, 5 digs and 2 aces for Dundee-Crown in a 25-14, 25-12 FVC loss. Also contributing for the Chargers were Ali Buckley (7 assists), Zoe Sitarz (5 digs), Irene Martin (5 digs) and Paige Gieske (3 blocks).

St. Francis d. Batavia: In a nonconference matchup, Jenna Garrett (2 kills, 5 digs), Maddy Boyer (8 digs, 2 kills) and Sam Juarez (7 digs) led Batavia (8-8) in a 25-9, 25-17 loss.

Elgin Academy d. Faith Lutheran: Nadine Kademoglou (21 assists), Madeline Sporina (7 kills, 3 blocks, 1 ace, 4 digs), Gia Joyce (6 kills, 2 blocks, 3 aces), Sophia Shapiro (8 digs, 4 aces), Rachel Dwyer (7 digs, 3 kills, 1 ace) and Caelinn Leahy (5 kills, 2 aces) led the Hilltoppers (4-4) to a nonconference win.

West Aurora d. Bartlett: Ali Greenwood had 12 digs while Kayla Battle added 3 kills, 2 blocks and an ace to lead the Blackhawks (10-7-1, 2-1) to an Upstate Eight Valley win. Megan Regan had 4 kills for Bartlett.

Hampshire d. CL South: Meagan Heine had 12 assists, Riley Seagren 7 kills and Louie Peralta 6 kills to lead Hampshire to a 25-23, 12-25, 25-23 FVC win.
