Sealcoating to close parts some Palatine trails, facilities this week

The Palatine Park District will be sealcoating at several of its facilities this week, causing closures to sections of the Palatine Trail and park areas.

Work is scheduled to begin Wednesday, but is weather dependent and could also take place on Thursday and/or Friday, if necessary. Park visitors and trail users are asked to watch for caution tape and barricades in the work areas.

Areas scheduled for work include: Golf Course Drive - Palatine Hills Golf Course and the entire road to the golf course and Dutch Schultz Recreation Area will be closed; Birchwood South loop to Cardinal Park; Cedar Park; Cottonwood Park and Trail; Combined Services Facility spur of the Palatine Trail; Degner Park; Helen/Dorset spur of the Palatine Trail; Mallard Park; Riemer Reservoir - north loop; Robin Park; and Sparrow Park.
