Star Trek '50 Year Mission Tour' convention
Pay homage to the legendary TV series "Star Trek" at the special "50 Year Mission Tour" convention this weekend. William Shatner, Gates McFadden, LeVar Burton and Michael Dorn will make appearances and sell autographs. Don't miss the costume contests, dance parties and more at the Westin O'Hare, 6100 N. Tails on the Trails at Morton Arboretum
Bring your dog for a stroll on 16 miles of hiking trails at the Tails on the Trails event at the Morton Arboretum, 4100 Route 53, Lisle. Plus, there's a pet expo, demonstrations and dogs available for adoption. Dogs can play games, including a peanut butter-licking contest. Dogs must be on a leash at all times and must have updated vaccinations and registrations. $5 per dog. Dog owners pay regular arboretum admission of $9-$14; free for kids younger than 1.
