DH lack of Trump bias fails laugh test

I suppose that Jim Slusher thinks he's a pretty clever guy. In his Aug. 12 opinion piece he "complains" about how he was "offended" by the derogatory comments of one of the Daily Herald's's syndicated columnists regarding Donald Trump.

This columnist's statements as well as those of a broadcast discussion "churned my gut" said Mr. Slusher. He presents himself and the Daily Herald as being far above such actions and launches into a sanctimonious condemnation of this behavior. Supposedly the Daily Herald would never stoop so low.

We are to believe from this, I suppose, that the Daily Herald is truly unbiased in their coverage of current affairs - why, they're even defending Donald Trump!

But here's the thing. In his column, Mr. Slusher goes into great detail about the very comments about Trump that supposedly are unprintable. He gives those comments as good, if not better, exposure as they'd have gotten in the original author's column. Mr. Slusher's column is simply one more of the many anti-Trump pieces the Daily Herald regularly runs. For Mr. Slusher to present himself as unbiased this way is hypocritical.

I believe Jim Slusher wrote this column in an attempt to convince Daily Herald readers, and maybe himself, that the Daily Herald is fair and unbiased. That is ridiculous.

The Daily Herald, and virtually all main stream media, have maintained a steady, viscous, anti-Trump drumbeat since he arrived on the scene as a presidential candidate. At the same time they turn a blind eye to Hillary Clinton's ineptitude in office, corruption, incredibly poor judgment and lack of qualification.

The Daily Herald unbiased? That doesn't pass the laugh test.
