Charity golf outing benefits Save-A-Pet

Sponsorships and foursomes are still available for the Real Estate to the Rescue Golf Outing Tuesday, Sept. 13, at The Glen Club in Glenview.

The event, organized by a committee of professionals associated with commercial construction, benefits Save-A-Pet, a nonprofit organization that rescues dogs and cats and operates a full-time adoption center in Grayslake.

The event features an 18-hole scramble format, cocktails on the golf course, a boxed luncheon, a dinner buffet, a hole-in-one contest and other prizes. Prize highlights include four individual rounds of golf at The Glen with cart, a variety of gift cards and two complementary tickets to Save-A-Pet's annual Tuxedo for Tails Gala in November.

The day begins with an 11 a.m. registration at the Glen Club, followed by a noon shotgun start, and concludes with dinner/reception at 5 p.m. Prices are $250 for an individual golfer and $1,000 for a foursome.

Sponsorship prices range from $500 to $3,500. A reception only option also is available for $75. Raffle tickets are $5 each or five for $20. As an added benefit, adoptable dogs will be available for a "meet-and-greet" at registration and at the post-golf reception.

To register for the golf outing, purchase sponsorships or dinner only, visit Save-A-Pet's website at www.saveapetil.org.

The Glen Club is at 2901 W. Lake Ave., in Glenview. Sponsorships are tax deductible, up to the value of the donation.

Save-A-Pet, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has saved more than 60,000 animals and expanded thousands of families with the love of an adopted pet. Relying solely on donor generosity, Save-A-Pet is one of the largest no-kill cat and dog rescues in Lake County, and costs more than $1,500,000 per year to operate.

As such, proceeds from the Real Estate to the Rescue Golf Outing will directly fund all animal-related expenses at the Save-A-Pet, including, but not limited to, rescue services, resident intake, medical/rehabilitative care, and facility maintenance.
