Road improvement meeting on Sept. 21

The Lake County Division of Transportation will host a public information session Wednesday, Sept. 21, concerning the Intersection Improvement Study of Ela Road and Long Grove Road in Barrington and Deer Park. The session takes place from 5 to 7 p.m. in the gymnasium of the Village Church of Barrington, 1600 E. Main St. in Barrington. The study was initiated to address intersection safety, existing capacity, and pedestrian and bicyclist accommodations in the project area. The purpose of the meeting is to gather feedback on the proposed alternatives. The project study team will provide an update on the Phase I Study progress, schedule and public involvement activities, and introduce the project problem statement. Additionally, attendees can learn more about the range of alternatives considered and the evaluation criteria used to determine the proposed alternatives that have been recommended for carrying forward.
