Who's Who in Health Care: Brian Lemon, President Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital, Winfield

Brian Lemon joined the organization in 2012, bringing with him more than 30 years of health services management experience.

Lemon's background includes operations leadership, strategic planning, quality and safety management, performance improvement and health care organization governance. Among his other activities since joining Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital, he initiated and provides executive leadership to the organization's high reliability initiative with the goal of eliminating preventable occurrences of patient harm.

Prior to joining CDH, Lemon served as CEO of MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn and as CEO of Holy Cross Hospital in Chicago. Six times in his career hospitals under his leadership have been named among the 100 Top Performing Hospitals in the United States.

Lemon has served on the boards of the Illinois Hospital Association, the Metropolitan Chicago Healthcare Council as well as a variety of community and professional boards and advisory panels. Lemon earned his bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Notre Dame and his MBA from the University of Detroit.
