Edward Foundation planning its biggest fundraiser
The Edward Foundation will hold its largest fundraiser of the year next month to support community health care initiatives that directly impact patients at Naperville's Edward Hospital.
The foundation's 26th annual gala, "The Big Gig: Immersion," will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at the Westin Lombard, 70 Yorktown Center in Lombard. The event will include dinner, dancing and a live auction.
A portion of the proceeds raised this year will help fund expansion and renovation of the Edward Cancer Center on the Edward Hospital campus in Naperville.
A variety of sponsorship opportunities are available, tables of 10 or individual tickets can be purchased, and individuals and businesses can donate items for the silent and live auctions.
In addition, the gala will feature a "Pick Your Paradise Raffle." The winner will be able to select between $2,500 in cash or one of three packages: a Royal Caribbean Cruise for two, Cabo San Lucas Ocean View Getaway for two or Ultimate Pro Sports Fan Getaway. The raffle is open to the public and the winner does not have to be in attendance.
The foundation was established in 1990 and has raised more than $43 million in its mission to support health care initiatives, invest in the most advanced diagnostic and treatment technology, recruit world-class medical professionals and deliver the highest quality care to almost 1.7 million patients within the area it serves.
